As a community of Anglican Christians, we are followers of our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave an important commission to the first followers in these words:
“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28: 18-20)
We seek to make disciples, or learners, of Jesus, by welcoming all people into a relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. As the Word is preached, as Home Groups develop, and as the Christianity Explored course is offered, we seek to continue to teach Jesus’ message, so that every disciple will grow to mature Christian faith. We seek to celebrate Jesus’ presence with us through Word and Sacrament every Sunday, and as we meet together in various ways throughout the week. We affirm the gifts that the risen and ascended Lord has given to his Church, and seek to enable the ministry of every believer, because we know that in this way the Church is strengthened. We seek to listen to the guidance of the Holy Spirit to show us how we can be involved in the growth of the Church in Toronto and beyond.
